Egad. It’s been a really really long time since I updated this corner. I’ve been wanting to update this before June came, but I always end up doing something else. Anyway, on with the entry.
I just had my first week at work, which is also why I wasn’t able to write. But I’m not really here to share the stuff I learned in work because honestly, I’m still making my way to the office and my job, although I’m starting to get a hold of the things that I need. Instead, I’m gonna share an interesting and err fun “assignment”, which I actually made a personal mission for myself.
I need to…
*Drum roll*
…turn myself into a lady!
Be a lady, in this case, means I have to look at least a bit mature so people won’t treat and look at me as fresh graduate; although, I enjoyed it when we got a you-look-so-young-to-be-working comment on the third day. I need to dress professionally, but not in a very formal way. I need to learn the art of dressing with style, I guess since we’ll be dealing face-to-face with the clients. I need to take in mind that I’m not in UP anymore, wherein a white shirt and a pair of shorts and slippers will do. Oh yes, slippers are out, heels shall be my new friend. I have to wear my Orcom hat, not only for the skills and the knowledge, but I have to remember “Power Dressing 101″. Lastly, I need to learn and live with applying makeup everyday.
Everything that was mentioned above, I used to not mind.haha Well, I’m in a different world now, and this world asks me to have that look. Really, why all these ramblings? It’s actually because on my first day at work, the first official comment I got from my boss is, “you need to wear makeup”. After that day, my boss would check if I am indeed wearing make up. And that’s not it. Last Friday, during one of our trip to the mall, we passed by a cosmetic and beauty shop. At first, my boss was just asking the sales lady the shades that would look good on me, the next thing I knew, I was sitting and was being treated for a makeover.haha For the record, I did enjoy the experience. And I’m actually being open, and honestly, liking the idea of me dressing up more. My boyfriend even finds it funny that I am subjecting myself to this metamorphosis. Meanwhile, an officemate, who is also new like me but definitely not new to the world of brushes and mascara, told me that there are makeup tutorials available in YouTube. And that’s what I’m doing now. I’ve been browsing since last night for makeup tutorials. I sometimes can’t imagine myself being kikay. Oh well, I guess I have to live with this mantra: “malandi is good. malandi is good. malandi is good”. haha
This will be my first personal project for the real world–to beautify and lady-fy my self.:P
Please don’t mind the music. I find it irritating.haha

Grabe, hindi ka pa kikay nung college?
We can’t wait your transformation, corporate lady.
See you soon! :*

If you think I was Kikay nung college, then you better check the definition of Kikay again. We’re not just talking about a simple blush and lip gloss here, we’re talking of eye shadows and mascara this time.:)) Hope to see the Gang, too.

Hahaha! Goodluck on being an AE. Gawd, on my first year, I did too many mistakes. I was even almost fired twice! MAhirap makipagdeal sa kliyentee
Lalo na kung alam nilang bago ka pa lang. Some clients even ate me during the last year. Until now, I am still trying to learn everything I need to know sa pagiging AE ng events. Goodluck, Rish
) Be a girl.
Ooh, about make up, I reco Maybelline’s Mineral foundation and blush. Sobrang easy to use and they stay on all day, even if you sweat. Perfect na sya as everyday make up. For eyeliner, maganda yung sa Elf na waterproof eyeliner pen
They’re my current faves. Mascara.. I am still looking for a perfect one. Haha!

If height is enough to make me look mature, then I wouldn’t have any problems at all kaso hindi eh.haha And oh, just to be clear, I don’t want to look old, I just don’t want to look like a fresh graduate. Clients have their way of treating us if they knew we’re just fresh grads, ye know.
